Wage deductions: losses alone are not sufficient

VDI reiterates that wage deductions require a statutory basis. Stock shortages cannot automatically be divided among employees. Compensation for damage requires assessment of the individual employee’s fault and other liability conditions.

Check the legal basis, deadlines and permitted amounts before deducting. Labour Code Article 150 is relevant.
